Mother's Day in the Covid-19 Era

Sunday, May 10, 2020

Day LXII of my International Coronavirus Lockdown was also Mother's Day.

As usual, we stayed sheltered at home for most of the day but I did make an early morning run to buy Laurie roses and also bring home breakfast from, where else, McDonald's.

Laurie received many well wishes from our two sons and their families over FaceTime and we also wished my Mother the best on this day via the phone as well.

 Mike actually brought Mary
over for a half hour visit

For the first time since all of this started, he let Mary into our home but it was really hard not hugging her.

As for my mysterious foot, it was still difficult to put any pressure on it. Hopefully things will start to get better SOON.

From the net today . . .

Hall-of-Fame Pittsburgh Pirate
Honus Wagner at the plate

A major leaguer for 21 seasons starting in 1897, he posted a .328 career batting average while leading the National League in that category eight seasons.

Take a close look at his bat.

How in the world did he hit anything with that as his weapon of choice?
