The Ventura County Star Offers Up a BIG Surprise!

Thursday, September 1, 2022

As usual, the Ventura County Star was delivered to our door bright and early this morning.

Upon opening the Sports Section, my eye was caught by an article titled, Youth Football Roundup.

Was it possible that we would find something about last Saturday's Camarillo Stingers Freshman team's game against the 805 Warhawks?

Why yes, there was!

SURPRISE, Jacob's first ever mention in a newspaper article, good times INDEED!

On to EuroBall issues . . .

The process of shipping used football equipment was back in full swing again today.

Today, this box containing 58 gray
Under Armour game pants
was on its way to . . .

. . . this club in the city of Taranto

Taranto is located in the Italian southern region of Apulia.

Apulia is the "heel" of the Italian peninsula's "boot."

At the Stingers practice tonight, the young men participated in a tackling drill that I once heard described by a college coach as " . . .the #1 drill that creates basketball and soccer players."

Here it is . . .

On the right, Jacob as the tackler

The final weekend of the
European League of Football's
regular season looms
