Today is Ascension Thursday, the day in the Christian calendar where Christ ascended into heaven, 40 days after the Resurrection. In Sweden today is a National Holiday.
In the morning I stayed in the house still trying to dry out from yesterday's weather. It gave a chance to finish reading . . .
Inspector Wallander Mystery #3
The plots to the Wallander series are getting more interesting, suspensful and international. This was the best one so far.
Even though I purchased the fourth installement in this series, "The Man Who Smiled," I've decided to take a break and read a book that Johan Hammarqvist suggested, also a series, called "The Emigrants." This is the first of four books by Vilhelm Moberg detailing Swedish emigration to the United States in the second half of the 1800s.
Tackles working on technique
With the holiday, we started practice at 3:00 p.m. and worked for three hours with the Senior team followed by an hour with the Juniors.
This Sunday we travel to the city of Lund to play the Lugi Vikings at 2:00 p.m. This should be another very difficult game for us as Lugi won both games with the Hurricanes last year on their way to winning the 2009 Division II Södra title. We are both entering the game with identical 0-1 records.
