A slow day highlighted by another day of Camarillo Stingers practice.
Jacob on the left doing a
Defensive Back change of direction drill
Running a pass route in
a one-on-one drill
Same drill but now Jacob is
the DB breaking up the pass
Jacob now at Free Safety in the
white socks in a two-on-one drill
Jacob in the same drill on
Offense showing good concentration
in making the catch
Team time with a stress on the Defense
While the coach explains the Defense to the team, look who is lined up at Nose Tackle right in front of the Center and the white football on the ground.
None other than Jacob who spent the last 40 minutes doing WR/DB drills.
This is an interesting turn of events but given his massive, muscular frame it seems like a natural move.
Not.
His first play at NT and he
helped stop the run
He needs to remember that usually low pad wins.
Do we finally have a run stuffer in the family?
He really needs to work on
his three point stance
He better NOT be smack talking
to the Center!
Goal Line Defense
Jacob is in the left "A" gap, he's the one who turns his head around to see his coach at the last second.
I liked his pursuit to the ball.
At the end of the day, he came off the field with a smile and was genuinely happy. He continued to play catch with any and all other players until we were the last ones at Freedom Park.
I think he's having a ball no matter where he is asked to play.
Camarillo Stingers Pop Warner American football, there's just nothing else like it!
