Today was all about Mary in her final Camarillo Cosmos track meet of the season.
Mary was participating in the
Ventura County JV Finals
The meet was being held at
Thousand Oaks H.S.
We turned left at that sign and
found that Michael had already
set up camp for us here
Mary was competing in three events today, the 4 x 100 Meters Relay, Long Jump and 100 Meters dash.
Her brother, Jacob, had the day off as he will run in the Ventura County Varsity Finals next Saturday at Buena H.S. in Ventura.

Making the pass was not easy
but it worked eventually
Her team ran a time of 1:12.71.
My favorite Cosmos
He always plugs his ears and watches the starter wanting nothing to do with the sound of his pistol to start his 400 Meters Dash.
In a down moment for me, as I was walking down to the Long Jump pit to watch Mary perform, Michael and Mary came walking up to me.
She had just finished jumping and I had missed it.
The good news was that she jumped to a new all-time Personal Record of 8'-7", an improvement of 4 1/2"!

finishing in 17.89
The meet was over for us at this point, so I could return blissfully to my daydreaming.
Laurie REALLY wants to
go back to Spain
As do I.
I would love to return to
Spain's north coastal province
of Asturias . . .
. . . some of their world famous
apple sidra would hit the spot!
Speaking of Spain and Europe, there was LOTS of EuroBall action today . . .

DI National Championship
was played today

The Black Demons have become the dominant team in Spain's DI level of play.
This was their seventh consecutive appearance in the Spanish Bowl and their fourth National Championship in a row.
