A special day but of course, as it was . . .

Mother's Day 2026!

I tried to talk her into returning to

Marrakesh for the day but she said, "No."

Instead, Laurie decided to savor her day in what the Italians call "Dolce Far Niente," The Sweetness of Doing Nothing.

The only things that broke up her day of idleness were watching the Dodgers lose to the Braves 7-2 on TV and the fish taco that she so desired for dinner from Spencer Makenzie's Fish Co. in Camarillo.

Happy wife, happy life.

As for Italy itself, their American football scene was quite busy today.

A bit of an upset as the Torino Giaguari (5-3) edged the Parma Panthers (4-2).

This was the final regular game for Torino who now has byes for the final three weeks of DI league play before the playoffs begin.

At 5-3, the Giaguari should be in the playoffs in about a month.

Girone A Conference Game

A splendid effort by the Milano Rams (1-5) in an unanticipated close loss to the Ciriè Blitz (4-1).

The Sarzana Red Jackets (2-3) easily tamed the Massa White Tigers (0-5).

The IFAF European U19 Championship Tournament had a couple of games today.
