If it's Saturday, it must be time for a Camarillo Cosmos youth track meet.
And it was, but first . . .

A new Cosmos program record is a good thing, no matter how tall you are.

Jacob's team took First Place with a time of 50.53.
It was their fastest time of the season.

It was Mary's final event of the day.
While awaiting Mary's 100 Meters race, I missed Jacob's Long Jump.
Jacob's best jump today was 15'11" which earned him Second Place in his age group.
Mary's dream of driving a

Jacob took Third Place in this race with a time of 2:31.08.

His all boys team won the race in a time of 4:06.03, a seasonal best.
The successful meet completed, we were off to celebrate at Moorpark's Mountain Mike's Pizza.
Of course Mountain Mike's had
a large arcade to entertain the kids
until their fabulous pizza arrived

playoff game last weekend
It was of a Falcons QB Sneak play that gained six yards and a First Down.
Number 45 in maroon on the right is none other than long in the tooth veteran, Fred "Papi" Bastiand.
"Papi" was a wizened veteran back in 2013 when our Falcons enjoyed a 12-0 season on their way to winning the French DIII National Championship. Before the championship game, he announced that it would be his last game as a player, it was time to retire.
A full thirteen years later, here he was still at it in yet another playoff game.
EuroBall is filled with passionate players like our "Papi."
