What should have been a restful Sabbath went somewhat askew quickly.
You see, we are now dealing with a mysterious lack of natural gas in Casa Contreras, which translates into no hot water, no home heating and a stove that is now useless.
My first thought was, "Did I forget to pay the gas bill this month?"
I checked with my bank online and found that the gas bill was paid on time the first week of April.
Only one thing to do, call our gas company.
Except . . .
SoCal Gas is closed on Sundays
So we were forced to grin and bear it today while maintaining gigantic social distancing for the health and safety of the greater Camarillo megalopolis community.
It was the right thing to do.
We'll be sure to contact SoCal Gas first thing Monday morning.

On a bright note, we had a nice visit from Michael and Jacob who volunteered to do some heavy duty yard work today. It also offered us a chance to better organize and finalize our plans for the Civil War reenactment in Tennesse later this Fall.

Cataluña Conference Game
Barcelona Pagesos (7-0) - 24
Barcelona Uroloki (2-5) - 0
After winning the Spanish DII National Championship in 2023 with a sparkling 10-1 record, the Barcelona Pagesos were promoted to DI.
The 2024 season saw the Pagesos flounder during an 0-8 DI campaign.
In 2025, the Pagesos went 1-6-1 in DI play and were relegated back to DII for the 2026 season which has been a resounding, undefeated success so far.
I hope that our beloved Gijón Mariners, who are being relegated to DII in 2027, both take note and take heart from this cautionary tale of the possibilities found in regrouping and recharging the club.

Romagna Titans (2-3) - 0
The Chiefs may be politically incorrect but they are tied for First Place in Girone F.
DIII Girone F Conference Game
Verona Redskins (4-1) - 40
Vicenza Hurricanes (0-5) - 0
The possibly even more politically incorrect Redskins are the ones tied with the Chiefs atop Girone F.
