Do you remember, the 21st night of September . . .

Despite all of the brouhaha,

I still love living in The Golden State

Today was another NFL Sunday with the Rams playing at 10:00 a.m., the usual suspects met at our home to view the game.

Michael and Jacob came both packing their BB rifles.

"You'll shoot your eye out, kid!"

They found an ancient Coca-Cola can in the garage with a 2019 expiration date. They set it up on that red plastic chair as their target about, as near as I could reckon, 400 yards from their shooting position.

Jacob went first.

On to the Rams' game . . .

Both the Rams and Eagles were

2-0 going into the game

What we wanted . . .

. . . what we got

The Rams (2-1) were ahead 26-7 in the Third Quarter, a frustrating collapse to the Eagles (3-0) to say the least.

The 3-0 Washington Huskies

are still on the outside looking in

I'm loving Michigan's Interim Coach

while their Head Coach serves a

suspension over what I'm sure are

some trumped up charges

A solid win for Italy's U19 football

team over the Czech Republic eleven

The European Flag Football Championship Tournament starts in Paris this week.

four game schedule for Group play

Thursday, September 25th

vs. Poland at 9:15 a.m.

vs. Norway at 2:15 p.m.

vs. Sweden at 6:00 p.m.

Friday, September 26th

vs. France at 2:15 p.m.

As for the Spanish Men's team, here is

their five game schedule for Group play

Thursday, September 25th

vs. Croatia at 8:00 a.m.

vs. Great Britain at 10:30 a.m.

vs. Austria at 4:45 p.m.

Friday, September 26th

vs. Netherlands at 8:00 a.m.

vs. Georgia 1:00 p.m.

That last game brought a smile to my countenance.

When we lived in wondrous Thun, Switzerland, the country of Georgia's Tourism Board was constantly running ads on television trying lure Swiss vacationers to their exotic land. 

These thirty second travel ads always ended with the same line that even today, 13 years later, still sticks in my noggin.

What was that line you ask?

 

"Visit Georgia, one of the least corrupt countries in the world."

I took it to mean that they were, by Swiss standards, probably corrupt but not too much.

Speaking of Flag Football . . .

On Monday, Jacob's Las Colinas Middle School Mustangs open their flag football season on the road against the C.A.P.E. Comets.

When queried, Jacob said that C.A.P.E. stands for Camarillo Academy of Progressive Education.

Mary demurred to Jacob's response and offered her saucy version of the C.A.P.E. acronym true meaning, informing us that it actually stands for Camarillo Academy of Progressive Executions.

She may not be correct but I do love her mindset.

Nevertheless . . .
