We had a wonderful morning with Jacob in our home for a second consecutive day.
It was the last day of Summer for our favorite future Marine Biologist as the first day of school for him is tomorrow.
To celebrate his end of Summer, we shared a Taco Tuesday Feast at Camarillo's oldest Mexican food restaurant, El Tecolote.
Son Michael joined us for tacos as he took a break from one last shot at preparing his new classroom at Newbury Park H.S. which also starts their school year on Wednesday.
Family and tacos are always a great dining experience on a Tuesday or any other day for that matter.
In the evening, I headed over to the Camarillo Community Center to watch Jacob's Stingers' Senior Blue team scrimmage against the Stingers' Senior Gray squad.
Jacob was a bit nervous about this scrimmage as it was his first time in any extended full contact work this season.

I was glad to see that he was
consistently exploding out of his stance
At 130 lbs., he will need to use all of his speed and quickness against typically larger Offensive Tackles this season.
During the evening, Jacob recorded two QB Sacks and was in on numerous tackles on both running and passing plays thanks to his effort.

Another point of grandparental pride was his tremendous pursuit down after down.

Besides playing Defensive End, he also took a bunch of snaps on Offense at both Left Guard and Wide Receiver.
Although no balls were thrown his way, he blocked well at both positions.

Jacob's solid work and effort need to keep improving daily with the Stingers' season opener now just 11 days away.
