Today was dedicated to tying up loose ends in preparation for our Mother's upcoming funeral.
The first such loose end was a much deserved Thank You gesture to the staff at The Californian.
Thus I headed to Porto's Bakery in Burbank.
I should mention that Porto's is a
CUBAN bakery, a QUALITY Cuban bakery
Their bread looked AMAZING!
We figured that there were about 30 people working at The Californian during each shift. We were going to at least feed lunch to those 30 people who had shown such kindness to our Mother over the last ten months.
Two yellow Porto's bags containing
30 delicious Meat Pies
30 fantastic Stuffed Potato Balls
30 provocative Ham Croquettes and
30 scrumptious Spinach Empanadas
It was the least that we could do for these wonderful people.
Next, I had to meet my sisters Marilyn and Linda at the local funeral home that would be handling my Mother's service.
I got there a tad early, so I went for a walk.
