La Quinta Vacation Day IV

Our last full day in La Quinta was as warm as expected and full of conviviality amongst our band of seven, as has been the norm these past few glorious days.

On the previous hole I drove my tee shot into the water but then sank a miraculous second shot from the lake bottom into the hole!

We all took similar breaks as Chris did today.

Gonzo just continues to amaze us

all as our resident Nutrition and

Hydration Specialist

His efforts to make vacation life easy for the rest of us has been greatly appreciated.

The day's World Cup recap

England (3-0-1)beat the Democratic

Republic of the Congo (1-2-1), 2-1, and

will now play Mexico (4-0) on July 5th in a

World Cup Round of 16 game

Belgium (2-0-2) beat Senegal (1-3), 3-2, and

will now face the United States (3-1) on

July 6th in Round of 16 action

The United States (3-1) beat Bosnia and

Herzegovina (1-2-1), 2-0, and will now take on

Belgium (2-0-2) on July 6th in Round of 16 play

To sum up, today was again one of good times shared with friends enjoying our much needed pool time, reading, watching more Wimbledon tennis and World Cup soccer on our two BIG screen indoor and outdoor TVs, playing mini-golf, reveling in the magical food and drink concoctions that people created and, at night, having an old school scrabble based group board game fun-fest.

We also, graciously, took time out from these typical vacation activities to continue our strategy talks aimed at solving the world's most pressing problems that Our Glorious Leader continues to create.

We are all still geopolitically active that way, don't you know.

Tomorrow morning we will all bid adieu to our blissful desert vacation oasis and return home to Camarillo much the better for the shared experiences.
