It was a crisp California Winter evening, a perfect night to attend a musical play in a cozy little theater.
Not just any musical play, it was
Disney's Frozen
The gang appeared to be all there
but where was Mary?
She was our reason for being at the Music Freqs Theater as she had earned the role of Snowwoman Olaf in the production.
She was GREAT!
Capturing the moment that she saw
her Dad holding up a new, stuffed
Olaf plushie meant for her
The ladies after the play
One final group photo in front
of the Music Freqs Theater before . . .
. . . going next door to one of Camarillo's
most iconic fine dining gems,
Chester's Asia Chinese Restaurant
Little Olaf, Big Olaf, Our Olaf
and Laurie
Honest, Mary was seriously good in her role tonight.
As my mother used to say, "Mary, la gran artista."
While we were having a fun night at the theater . . .
. . . the first CFP game was being
played in Norman, Oklahoma
It featured the #9 seeded Alabama Crimson Tide (10-3) at the #8 seeded Oklahoma Sooners (10-2).
When they played on November 15th in Tuscaloosa, the Sooners prevailed 23-21.
Oklahoma led 17-0 in the Second Quarter before the roof caved in on them.
Alabama (11-3) with an impressive
comeback win over Oklahoma (10-3)
Next up for Alabama is a January 1st
game in Pasadena's Rose Bowl against
the #1 seeded Indiana Hoosiers (13-0)
Three more CFP Opening Round games on Saturday while we drive to Las Vegas to visit the Nevada branch of the Contreras Clan.
