"It was 34 years ago today . . ."

HAPPY 34th BIRTHDAY MIKE, I hope you have fun today!

It is so hard to belive that our youngest son is 34 years old! The time has passed by way too quickly.

I can't wait to see him and his bride Vanessa in Hässleholm in June.

I love you Mike!

Our First Outdoor Practice

Swedish Army Regimental
Command Center Entrance Gate

Up until about 15 years ago, the Swedish Army based two regiments in this Command Center in Hässleholm. Today we reserved their nice natural grass area for our first outdoor practice of the season.

Football Outdoors at Last!

Early Outs

At 10:00 a.m., our QB, Kalle Nordström, and the receivers met to finally have a chance to work on the passing game with enough space to play catch. We had a very good learning session until Noon when the rest of the team showed up for the scheduled three hour practice.

GO DEEP!

Team Warm-Up

From Noon until 2:00 p.m., we continued to work on the passing game and pass defense, again because we just don't have the room to work on this phase effectively indoors.

From 2:00 p.m. until the end of practice at 3:00 p.m., we worked on all phases of the kicking game, again an area we can not practice indoors.

The day was successful overall as we worked on so many new things.

Offensively we continue to sputter because it seems that a different player blows an assignment on each play. It is never the same player making a mistake over and over again.

I believe we are getting closer to being an effective offensive team every time we hit the field. We have a scrimmage in Denmark a week from tomorrow!

IT CAN'T POSSIBLY BE 34 YEARS,
CAN IT?

Hurricanes do not worry, your QB Peyton Manning will take you far! In all seriousness, keep working hard and it will payoff. Hurricane Pride!
