We were invited to a local high school on Friday with a chance to restart our football equipment exporting enterprise.
To review what Laurie and I do, since 2010 we have sent messages out to the local and sometimes not so local high schools informing them that we would gladly pick up any unwanted football gear for shipping to needy American football teams throughout the globe.
Once the donations of helmets, shoulder pads, pants, jerseys, kicking tees, helmet repair parts, blocking shields, etc., are collected, we then find new homes for the various donations.
Once found, we box them up and use the least expensive shipping method to get the boxes to various European, Mexican and South American clubs. All the gear is sent to the team for free except that the receiving team needs to reimburse us for the costs of the shipping boxes, duct tape to secure the shipping boxes and shipping charges.
What does this translate into? A good, used Under Armour jersey that sold for $90+ when new arrives at its new team for a cost of around $2.

Agoura's Head Football Coach

This was the third time that he has donated gear to our program over the years. He warned me that he had more to donate than in years past and that I may need a second vehicle to haul it all away.
Thus, Michael drove up to Agoura H.S. to help in the transport an amazing amount of football related cloth items that were all in tremendous shape.
Once back at Casa Contreras,
we had quite a haul . . .

We instantly found a new home for 50 jerseys and 50 pants in Italy with the Caserta Falcons. A team in Poland, the Warsaw Mets are mulling over an order as I write.
We'll still to find about four or five more clubs in order to empty our inventory which will make my business partner and Queen of Box Taping, Laurie, ever so happy.

The Varese Skorpions, led this year by coaches Scott Savoie and Mark Bridgewater who both coached with us long ago at Westlake H.S., are slotted at #5.
The Skorpions (6-5 in 2025) start the season on February 28th on the road vs. the tough #2 ranked Ancona Dolphins (10-2 in 2025).
