The rain continued to fall in a light but steady downpour in Camarillo for most of the day, so we spent much but not all of it in our warm, cozy home.
Mary had to visit her Orthodontist
on Mars to get new, colorful rubber
bands for her braces
Laurie and I also stopped off at the Camarillo Public Library to pick up four new volumes to read over the next few weeks of Winter.
Reading is FUNdamental, and, truth be told, I have not done much of it in recent weeks.
More unsettling thoughts on Saturday
night's clash in the Rose Bowl
Since UCLA moved their home football games from the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum to Pasadena's Rose Bowl in 1982, they have played Washington 15 times in the Arroyo Seco's venerable stadium.
UCLA's record versus the Huskies in these Rose Bowl home games is 12 Wins - 3 Losses. The three Washington wins came in 1989, 1995 and 2006.
We're long overdue.
This is troublesome, at least to me.
During this same span of years, the Bruins and Huskies have squared off 18 times in Seattle at Husky Stadium. In those games, the Huskies have the slightest of edges, 9 Wins - 8 Losses - 1 Tie.
The UCLA-Washington football series started in 1932 in Los Angeles with a 19-0 Huskies victory. The current 77 game overall series record favors the Bruins at 40 Wins - 35 Losses - 2 Ties.
We'll see how it goes Saturday night.
