Today was also the day that we started to take down the gazillion Christmas ornaments that have gaily decorated our home since the day after Thanksgiving.
Our 22 Washington Husky ornaments
were all present and accounted for!
My favorite one is the Santa riding in the 1957 Chevy that was issued by the Danbury Mint in 2011.
It is the one on the far left, third row from the bottom.

The 2025 Danbury Mint offering of an Italian espresso maker in the bottom right corner is awesome, in my opinion.

Playing this game in the Barrow H.S. located above the Arctic Circle in Alaska might well be what saves and revitalizes college postseason bowl games.

Third Place in the NFL Western Division
In the five team, 1948 Western Division the Rams trailed the Chicago Cardinals (11-1) and the Chicago Bears (10-2).
The Cardinals (11-2) lost the NFL Championship game that season that was played in a Philadelphia blizzard to the Eagles (10-2-1), 7-0.

Halfback Fred Gehrke - Utah
Fred Gehrke has a special place in Rams' and NFL history.
Gehrke was an Art major at Utah in the days when football helmets were made of leather and were all uniformly a single color.
In the Summer of 1948, Gehrke approached Rams owner Dan Reeves with an idea to put his love of art to good use for the team. After seeing the one helmet that Gehrke had already painted with two gorgeous, curving Rams' horns, Reeves gave him the OK but with one proviso.
Gehrke would be given the job to hand paint all 75 of the Rams' helmets with his innovative design and would be paid a whopping $1.00/helmet to do it!
It took him all of the Summer of 1948 to get the job done.
The Rams opened the 1948 pre-season against the Washington Redskins at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum with a crowd of 105,000 customers on hand.
When the Rams took the field in their leather helmets with the new cutting edge Rams horns, the fans cheered and gave the new look a five minute standing ovation!
Still the best helmet design in the NFL in my biased opinion.
