Once again we start this post with more of Sue Valdivia's photos from Tuesday's practices.

Today's Schedule
We would only practice once today as we had a cultural trip to take to the ancient Teotihuacan Pyramids located about 90 minutes from our hotel.
Due to little shade and a blistering
Sun, the first order of business was
buying hats
Coach Honza Rauš' hat
looked GREAT on him
A contingent of our Mexican players
weren't buying many hats today
DL Ali Markl was ready
to rock sporting this stylish lid
Vote for who has the best hat
I do not want to influence you unduly but I voted for Bart's tribute hat to the famed 1958 LSU Chinese Bandits.
Sporting lots of new chapeaus,
we entered the Pyramid area
The Pyramid of the Moon
Our guide Victor giving
us the general overview of
this amazing archeological site
WR Luna Schytz in front of
the Pirámide de la Luna
Who knew?

Someone had to stay at ground level to take this photo, so I volunteered.
Taking a break at mid-pyramid
They ALL made it to the top
Not a part of our group but I
loved her bold fashion sense!
Getting ready for a team photo
that came out . . .
. . . GREAT!
That's a jaguar
With my two hard working RBs
Stine Madsen and Izzy Burger
Today, I did not climb to the top of the Pyramid of the Sun that is located behind us.
I did scale it with Laurie on our 1971 honeymoon trip to this same site. At the time I promised her never to climb this pyramid again with any other woman. Thus, I easily said no to several Warriors generous requests to join them for the exhilarating climb to the top of Teotihuacan's tallest pyramid.
One of the Warriors finally said, "Then why don't you climb up with Bart instead?"
Damn it, my cover was blown!
I still didn't go up but Bart did.
DL Ana Pierdant in communication
with local government officials
Fashion conscious Coach
Honza Rauš at it again
At the end of two hours of pyramid
climbing, many of us were ready to shop
LB Malene Mølgaard and a few
others wanted to buy friendship
bracelets, so we did
In another first on this latest Europe Warriors experience, I found out that I had a friend.
We all needed a bit of rest and . . .
. . . a place to eat a good team meal
This spot just outside of the archeological park filled the bill nicely.
Our team meals supplied by the Mexican Federation have been, shall we say, interesting so far this week.
This place turned out got be excellent!
This place looked good . . .
. . . and it was!
An all you can eat Mexican buffet worked perfectly for me.
The tortilla soup, Aztec style,
was a solid starter to our meal
Of course they had mariachi music
Blending in with the locals
An Aztec dancer for
our viewing pleasure
Here he is dancing up a storm!
Listening to all of the details
of the art of making tequila
No, we did not have any as, after all, we are in strict training.
She put a move on me
I was surprised but I warded her off quickly.
Those eyes!
A Dia de los Muertos skull
"Hey Coach, have you ever
eaten chapulines?"
The answer was a hardy "NO."
I have now after peer group pressure proved to be too much for me.
What are chapulines you ask?
It's a grasshoppers . . .
YUM!
Coach Honza Rauš at it again
Our lone practice of the day
was not a focused one to be sure
Getting out of our normal routine was not at all good for us tonight.
We shared our practice field tonight
with a U15 Mexican team that will be
playing a game in the Atlanta Falcons'
stadium next week
Sue Valdivia took this nice photo of out two teams together after practice.
The two teams even shared a break,
Mexico on three . . .
I liked the look of
Team Mexico's helmet decal
Things are going to get real serious on the practice field tomorrow!
Stay tuned . . .
