As it happened yet again one of our two sons had a birthday today. This time it was our younger son's day to celebrate.
Michael turned 46 today
One of his passionate hobbies is participating in Civil War reenactments as part of the Union's 19th Ohio Regiment.
Michael also is passionate
about playing 1880s rules baseball
for the Redondo Beach Wharf Rats
His son Jacob is the team's mascot/batboy.
Michael is also a goofy
Los Angeles Rams fan
The Rams won Super Bowl LVI this year in case you didn't know it.
Michael and his daughter Mary
Having two sons that are now 46 years old and in our son Andrew's case 48 years old makes one wonder where all the time has gone.

Sunday was a big Game Day in EuroBall.
This was going to be a tough game
for our Mallorca Voltors
The Badalona Dracs entered the game tied for first place in Spain's Serie A Eastern Conference with the Barberá Rookies, both with 5-1 records.
The Voltors record was a less than desired at 2-4, placing them in third place in the Eastern Conference.
After today's game, there would only be one regular season game left for each of these two clubs in the 2022 regular season.
The favored Dracs were the winners
The Voltors (2-5) are now in a three way tie for third place in the eastern Conference with the Zaragoza Hurricanes (2-5) and L'Hospitalet Pioners (2-5). The Voltors last game of the 2022 regular season campaign will be on the road against the L'Hospitalet Pioners (2-5).
The Dracs (6-1) are now in lone possession of first place in the East and play a huge game on the road next Sunday against the second place Barberá Rookies (5-1). It will be the Dracs' final regular season game.
After a few weeks of postponed
games due to COVID-19,
the Skorpions were finally back in action
The Varese Skorpions' (1-0) lone game this year was also against the Verona Redskins (0-3) in a game played way back in Week One of the season on March 6th.
Playing at home, the Skorpions dominated the Redskins on that day by a final tally of 42-0.
It was not too much
different today in Verona
The Skorpions (2-0) have a huge Girone B game next Saturday at home against the high flying Bergamo Lions (3-0).
That should be a good one.
In Switzerland, the SAFV's top league started their season this weekend.
Our old club, the Thun Tigers, were
now playing with the Swiss Big Boys
We coached the Tigers a decade ago during the 2012 season.
As always, we found wonderful people and incredible beauty living in the Alps that season.
The BIGGEST of which are the
traditional Swiss bad boys,
the powerhouse Calanda Broncos
Not the best matchup for the up and coming Tigers' season opener but you have to play Calanda at some point.
As most Swiss experts predicted the Broncos (1-0) cruised past the Tigers (0-1) by a score go 49-21.
Our beloved Thun Tigers will play again next Sunday at home next Sunday against the Winterthur Warriors (0-1) who lost to the Bern Grizzlies (1-0) 34-6 today.

If Michael and Andrew are now 46 and 48 years old, then how old are Laurie and I getting to be?
