Easter Sunday in Sleepy Camarillo

Sunday, April 17, 2002

It was a joyous day to celebrate Easter at home.

Laurie has a prop for each and
every occasion hidden somewhere
in our home to be used at just
the right time

We were planning on a small brunch with just Vanessa, Michael, Mary and Jacob who had just returned from two days at the original Disneyland in Anaheim.

Jacob with his newest weapon,
a Star Wars light saber from Disneyland

Jacob and Mary in their Sunday best

Being Grandparents is always AWESOME!

Except for being too far away from grandson Kevin to see him on any kind of a regular basis.

Another of Laurie's colorful
dining table arrangements

Of course she has an Easter Peeps
decoration, doesn't everybody?

The pre-Brunch snack table
was a delight for the eyes too

Before the traditional Easter Egg Hunt,
Jacob had to show us some of his
newest Light Saber skills

No, that is not a new piece of food art behind Jacob, it is a TV ad that looks darn good to me.

Maybe it should be art.

Mary had quite the haul, 19 eggs,
at the end of her hunt

Amazingly, Jacob found 19 eggs as well

Laurie color coded the eggs for each of them to find and have the same amount of eggs when all was said and done.

One smart Gigi indeed!

Time to crack open the eggs to
see what treasures each contained

After Brunch, out came the
Easter Baskets

Jacob was excited to find that the Easter Bunny remembered to leave him packs of both NFL and Pokemon trading cards in his basket.

How did he know?

Mary was overjoyed with all
of the things she received in
the Easter Bunny's gift basket too

Jacob opening a pack of cards
is always a personal moment of joy

We had a fun time as always with the family that included a FaceTime call to my Mother.

I hope that all of you also enjoyed a . . .

HAPPY EASTER!
