What a day for sports in Europe!
It all started with a huge game in the world of calico/football/soccer depending on your nationality, the European Championship game at London's Wembley Stadium between England and Italy.
FORZA ITALIA!
At the end of 90 minutes of regulation play, it was a 1-1 tie.
After another 30 minute extra time play it was still 1-1.
Finally, it was time for the dramatic penalty kick shoot out to decide who took home the cup.
My only thought as the two goalies headed together towards the goal was that the Italian goalie was quite a bit taller than his English counterpart. That had to count for something I thought.
It did, Italy won the shootout b a score of 3-2.
The entire Italian peninsula went wild celebrating the victory Look for a Coronavirus spike in about ten days.

were playing for the CIF9 Southern
Conference Championship
against the 6-0 Roma Pretoriani
The winner would earn a spot in the CIF9 National Championship Game, Nine Bowl XXI, on Saturday, July 24th in the Tuscan seaside city of Cecina.
By the way, CIF9 stands for Campionato Italiano Football a 9. Remember that in Italy's DIII they play the 9 man version of American football.
