It was a quiet, stay at home kind of day as I needed to get started on our last ditch efforts preparing for this Saturday's . . .
DERBY!
This is a key game for both of Varese's American football teams.
The Gorillas need a win to keep their playoff hopes alive while our Skorpions are trying to ensure both a playoff spot and a home game in the Wild Card round.
Of course, both clubs want to win the bragging rights to the city for the next 12 months too.
FIDAF's latest DII rankings came out today, remember that only the top 12 of the 19 DII teams make the playoffs which start the weekend of June 8th-9th with four Wild Card games.
The top four ranked teams at the end of the regular season will get Wild Card round byes.
We survived our two grueling bye
weeks and still hold onto the #7 spot
The Gorillas are on the Playoff Bubble
currently ranked #13
During a break from viewing HUDL, Laurie and I made a trip to the Esselunga Supermarket.
AC Milan pasta
What a great idea for dinner!
Finally, our son Michael played in the Southern California Vintage Baseball League's All-Star Game at the "A" California League minor league stadium in Lake Elsinore over the weekend.
Here are some photos of the action.
