It was mostly another day spent preparing for this weekend's Varese Derby between the 4-2 Skorpions and the 2-4 Gorillas at Jungle Field.
But we did need a cappuccino and brioche to sustain us in the morning.
Thus, we were off to the Pasticceria Marabelli at a reasonable time where I had the chance to browse through today's edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport.
There were lots of pages dedicated to the annual Il Giro d'Italia, our country's top multi-stage bicycle road race currents in motion.
So Italian!
This La Gazzetta dello Sport page was dedicated to the traditional foods served in the region where today's Il Giro d'Italia stage will be contested.
LOVE OUR PRIORITIES!
FIDAF published a couple of colorful displays to visually aid in our knowledge of the game.
The current Top 12 with two weeks
left in the regular DII season
If the season ended today, these would be the seedings with the Rhinos, Hogs, Mastini and Saints earning Wild Card round byes.
But the season definitely does not end today.
As of today, these are the teams
that would not make the playoffs
Apparently, our LB Stefano Granelli
leads all of DII in tackles
Our Women's Flag team was enjoying
a Back to Work Tuesday
LB/DL Ivan "Swito" Raso
was sporting a
GREAT handlebar mustache
One-on-Ones . . .
. . . Bump and . . .
. . . RUN!
With 38 players tonight at practice
giving good effort, what more
could a coach ask for from his team?
Only four more nights!
It's GREAT to be a Skorpion!
