Having not arrived home last night until a little past midnight after our scouting assignment in Desio, we got a late start today.
As usual, I had to check in on
Il Giro d'Italia's culinary guide for
Stage 12 of the 21 day bicycling event
What better place than the Pasticceria Marabelli over a cappuccino and a chocolate brioche to pour over the Il Gazetta dello Sport to get race updates.
Today's stage took us from Cuneo to Pinerrolo and from the delicious meat that is salsiccia di Bra to savory tomino di Talucco cheese.
We had a calm reading day with a little music blended in to our enjoy our day.
In the evening, I was back at it at Skorpions Field.
At 6:30 p.m., we had workouts with three flag teams (U13, U15 and Women's) and the U126 tackle squad. It was a true four ring circus!
U13s scrimmaging
Coach D.J. giving important
coaching tips to his U15 charges
U16 tackle team
BOMBS AWAY!
Agnese leading the Women's team

Here is QB Sofia giving her
best effort on the drill
At 8:15 p.m. our Prima Squadra
took the practice field for the last time
in the 2019 regular season
We had a good turnout, were focused and gave great effort.
Obviously, I was happy about our progress tonight.
During our usual Hail Mary period that
ends every practice I stood in the end
zone and spied this team booster's banner
SO GOOD!
Only two more days
