Our two fantastic weeks in Hawai'i are rapidly coming to an end, so we aimed to get the most we could out of today.

As has begrudgingly become the custom, Mark and I headed out on our daily 60+ minute physical fitness walk before the Sun heated up the island of Maui.

This blue whale caught my eye
on our morning stroll . . .

. . . so did these flowers

Cool skim board at the home of
Chris Campbell who is Mark's cousin

His home is located at about the 3/4 mark of our journey today.

This board belonged to Chris' son

Walk done, it was time to cool
off at the beach in Kihei
in front of the Johnson's condo

Is that one of King Kamehameha's white war canoes just off shore?

What a PERFECT morning!

The four of us enjoying the Sun

Mark is an absolute bronzed Sun God.

The War Canoe was indeed loaded
with Warriors as near as I could tell

Are we looking at another blood bath in the 'Īao Valley?

On to Lahaina . . .

Lahaina has a real artsy feel to it

Lahaina's Front Street is
right on the water

Shade was a good thing for
both of us

Kimo's for lunch on Front Street

A Lava Slide for me

I manned up and asked our waitress to leave the umbrella at the bar.

The ladies ordered IPAs in a
successful attempt to shame me

Kimo's is known for their
BIG burgers . . .

. . . and their Hula Pie

Could the four of us possibly eat this monster dessert?

NO CONTEST!

More views of Lahaina . . .

. . . while the ladies continued to shop

We arrived back in Kihei in the late afternoon after our final glorious visit to Lahaina.

After lounging about for about 30 minutes, we started to hear, shall we say, unusual music wafting its way up to our balcony from the park near our shoreline.

I had to investigate . . .

Yes indeed, a musical group
was practicing . . .

. . . but it wasn't traditional
Hawaiian music by any stretch

The bagpipes just added to the
beauty of this evening's sunset

ALOHA MONDAY!
