In Sicily, the #1 seeded, 9-2 Catania Elephants continued to prepare to host the #5 seeded, 9-3 Bolzano Giants in the IFL semi-finals this coming Sunday. The other semi-final game will see the #3 seeded, 10-2 Bologna Warriors traveling to Parma to play the #2 seeded, 9-2 Panthers.


The Italian Super Bowl is on July 7th.


In Sweden, the Hässleholm Hurricanes ran into that buzzsaw called the Kristianstad Predators last Saturday. The Predators are now 7-0 after beating the Hurricanes 62-26. In their seven contests, Kristianstad has outscored their opponents 425-45!


The fifth place Hurricanes head into their seven week Summer Break with a record of 2 wins - 3 losses - 2 ties. They have five games left on their 2012 schedule and take the field again on August 4th at home against the Ekeby Greys.
