Quiet Thun Monday and Two Practices

Monday we were still trying to dry out from Sunday's deluge at the Tigers' game. We were awakened to the sound of . . .

 Hammer Time!

Construction continues daily in Helvetica's backyard as workers broke down a wall in Ueli and Cindy's house as the remodeling/room addition continues to go full bore.

As we do daily, we walked into Thun to do some grocery shopping when we saw some . . .

Monday we also rode the bus out to Arena Thun to go to the nearby OBI Center to buy some flowers to fill our window box. While I was at practice Monday night, Laurie went to work.

Pizza for Dinner

We start with a plain Margarita Pizza costing 1.15 Swiss Francs. We then add a little Basilico tomato sauce, olive oil, balsamic vinegar, sliced freshed tomatoes, sun dried tomatoes, Swiss Alpine cheeses and some salami slices.

Bake in a pre-heated 225º oven for 15 minutes and voilá, dinner is served!

In the evening it was time for the usual Monday night Junior teams doubleheader practice.

First up was a well attended U-16 practice with a bunch of kids who are eager to learn and work hard.

The U-19 practice that followed was another thing all together. Only seven players from the squad showed up and two of them were not dressed out for practice. The five suited up players gave a good effort but as far as team improvement is concerned . . . ???
