A Retirement and Another Day in France

Former Rio Mesa H.S. TE/FS Scott Fujita, who I got the pleasure to coach and is our Godson, retired from his 11 year career as a linebacker in the NFL yesterday in a quite unusual way.

Scott broke in with the Kansas City Chiefs
2002-2004

He was a Dallas Cowboy
2005

He played for the New Orleans Saints
2006-2009

Scott was a Cleveland Brown
2010-2012

He was a starting LB for the
Saints Super Bowl XLIV Champions

Here is a link to his unusual retirement announcement from Peru:
There is no truth in the David Lassen inspired rumor that Scott may be signing with the Falcons for our playoff run.

Damn.

Meanwhile, back in Lyon, France . . .

It was time for lunch Tuesday

Interesting, but no.

Must be a good Boulangerie . . .

as the line was this long the whole time
we ate lunch across the street at . . .

Café du Nain

It was sunny and warm, the sidewalk tables were out and this is where I had previously eaten a delicious pig snout salad. We just had to enjoy their cuisine again.

Bon Appétit!

The wine, much tamer salads, chicken, andouillette, desserts and café were all top notch.

Great Desserts!

After lunch, we strolled and shopped.

This just in from last Sunday's

None of us knew it at the time but the Ghost of Christmas Future visited Falcons Junior Center Big Ben Marcoux. Nath Caldes captured the apparition in this eerie photograph.

Chilling.
