Tuesday was another perfect Spring day in Lyon, a good day to continue my research on the best pain chocolate in France.
Falcons LT Djamel Laib highly recommended that I partake of the pain chocolate at a spot in Lyon's Gratte-Ciel district.
Hmm, I wonder . . .
Laurie and I boarded the Metro A Line
It was a short ride to the Gratte-Ciel stop and then just a two block walk to Avenue Henri Barbusse. Now, to find #33, the home of the Bettant Pâtissier Chocolatier Glacier and Salon de Thé.
The Au Negre Café
It looked interesting but it wasn't the spot we were wanted.
Eureka!!!
An AWESOME assortment of
baked goods
There it is, our new #1 Pain Chocolate in France
Warm, light, flaky and with a generous amount of dark chocolate, it vaulted quickly to the top of my Top Ten list!
Still, the research must continue . . .
No need for any of these after
their glorious pain chocolate

Our two Cadet and Junior practices Tuesday night were solid ones. The League Champion Cadets (3-0-1) will open their National Playoff run on Sunday at home at 11:00 a.m. against the Montpellier Hurricanes before the Seniors playoff game at 2:00 p.m. versus the Albi Hurricane.
The Juniors (2-2) will travel to Avignon for their playoff contest to play the host Warriors at 8:00 p.m. on Saturday.
This is going to be a very busy football weekend!
