It was another picture perfect day in Upplands Väsby, tailor made for American football practices.
Our day began at 10:00 a.m. with a two hour U15 practice.

A lovely setting for today's
grueling schedule
At 1:00 p.m. the U13 team showed up for their two hour practice.

At 2:00 p.m. the fun began as the U11 minions took the field for an hour.
Remember, the U11s play 7-man football and we have our own league comprised solely of Wäsby Warriors that are divided into three teams called Vikings, Steelers and Packers with the appropriate uniform colors.
Today we had to mix the teams a bit due to low numbers in attendance.
Steelers, mostly, on Offense
Vikings on Defense

All of the Post-Practice Niceties
At 3:00 p.m. members of all three teams were encouraged to join together to have some fun playing touch football for an hour.
Touch football in all sizes and ages
At 4:00 p.m., after the touch football games, players on all three teams were treated to a BBQ featuring that most Swedish of all foods . . . HAMBURGERS!
A special Tack Så Mycket (Thank You) to Lotta, Bengt and Martin who are the backbone of the Warriors support staff for making this BBQ possible!
YUM, Burgers!
Talking football, or maybe food,
with Martin and Greg
Greg Stark is from America and attended the University of Washington as well as UC Berkeley. He coaches our U13 squad.

"The Two Skalmans"
In a Swedish cartoon series, Skalman is a turtle who has everything that you would ever need neatly tucked away somewhere inside of his shell.
In human form, Skalman is both Martin and Bengt who seem to always have the right tool for everything that can possibly happen at a Warriors practice.

It was a long day and I am quite tired as I write this but it was also an extremely productive day.
On Saturday we will repeat today's schedule.
Go Warriors GO!!!
