The International Day of the Worker

Friday, 1 May, 2015:

Today was the International Day of the Worker, or as we call it in the USA, May Day.

Thus most of Murcia was closed down to give workers a day of rest with their families to enjoy a scorching hot holiday.

Meanwhile, the 4-4 Cobras still had to prepare for Saturday night's Wild Card playoff game at home vs. the 3-5 Las Rozas Black Demons.

Thus we met in nearby Beniaján to use their toasty artificial surface, thanks to the Clemente brothers, for our last round of preparations on Friday at 12:30 p.m.

U. of Washington practice jerseys

IT WAS HOT!!!

We had a good workout, now to play the game . . .

We need to be EN FUEGO!!!

It is now predicted to be a balmy 91 degrees Fahrenheit at game time.

We once again were invited to a late lunch at the home of Oscar, Rosa and Alberto.

What can I say but the usual . . . great people, great food and funny conversations!

 Late evening snack at
our nearby frozen yogurt shop

It was a nice treat at the end of a warm day.

Neighborhood pedestrian zone

It was just starting to fill up with people wanting to get out of their stuffy apartments for dinner, a drink or a stroll with their dog.

Another great day in Murcia!.
