A Great Lunch on a Football Friday in Late June

Friday, June 21, 2024

Our good friend, Lance Erie, was visiting from his home in Tucson, Arizona.

What a perfect excuse for friends to meet for lunch at Pickles Deli in Newbury Park, thus I headed up the Conejo Grade to meet with Lance, Jim O'Brien and Chuck Severns.

Our lunch lasted a European-like three plus hours that felt like 30 minutes.

L. to R.: Jim, Chuck, Lance and George

It was amazing to see how many egalitarian solutions for our country's and indeed the world's problems the four of us were able to come up with at this meeting of the minds.

GOOD TIMES, GREAT FRIENDS!

Today was the wonderful Midsommar festivals all over Sweden.

If you've never been there one of these Swedish festivals, add it to your Bucket List.

2010 Midsommar in Vinslöv, Sweden
was a night to remember but
I doubt that Laurie does

I celebrate Crazylegs every day

Late result from the French DI
Semifinals last weekend the
Thonon-les-Bains Black Panthers (6-1-3)
beat the Marseilles Blue stars (7-2-3)

In the other French DI Semifinal
La Courneuve Flash (6-2-1) dominated
the Rouen Léopards (5-4-1)

If you ask me, the French had an unusually high number of tie games this season.

This week's ELF Power Rankings
look about right to me

Only two games peak my interest,
Stuttgart Surge (3-0) at Munich Ravens (2-2)
and
Rhein Fire (3-1) at Berlin Thunder (2-2)

The Prague Lions pre-game
poster is as tad subdued this week

So is the Wroclaw Panthers

100% Agree
