Monday was a much needed day of rest after a busy weekend and still battling the final stages of jet lag.
But that is not to say that there was not some adventure to be had as Santa Barbara needed me to join her to sign some immigration papers. This meant that it was time for this year's first . . .
. . . Italian Post Office Experience!
First, one must be reminded that about the last thing the typical Italian post office deals with is mail. This is where one comes to pay utility bills, settle banking issues and pay governmental fees and fines. Thus, a trip here can become a bit chaotic.
I was a bit disappointed to see a few people entering after us and actually asking who was last in line. We old post office pros ascertain this needed information by simply making eye contact with the others in the lobby until one person nods their head to acknowledge that they were the last to enter before us.
Once we got to our turn at the post office window, we quickly found out that the only person who could help us was on break. His replacement, the man in charge of this entire post office, told us that he had no clue as too how to process our request and that we would have to wait for our man's break to end.
Fortunately it did end about three minutes later and our highly complicated business was taken care of in a mere five minutes. Our papers, in essence, were a request to the local constabulary for an appointment to finish off my immigration/work visa procedures.
A day at the Questura (police station) Immigration Office is also a sought after comical experience.
Stay tuned . . .
Later in the afternoon, Santa Barbara and I returned to the local Esselunga Supermercato to buy some more supplies. Today it was easy moving about the store, nothing like last Saturday's free-for-all.

The two Contreras families met at The Happiest Place on Earth on Monday to enjoy all that Mickey's House has to offer.
Of course our sons' better halves, Jenn and Vanessa, were there as well but they seemed to be the designated family photographers on this day.
Finally, I thought that you might like a tour of the Villa Skorpion II . . .

I finished this post with a question about the Patriots-Chiefs game.
Roughing the passer? Really?
And yes, it was Pass Interference in the Rams-Saints game.
Tuesday will be our first practice session with Skorpions Senior team, CAN'T WAIT TO GET STARTED!
Go Skorpions GO!

I originally commented on the traditional lack of a shower curtain the bathroom, but upon reviewing the photo, it appears to me that there actually is something that folds out and serves that purpose. Amazing.
David,
Indeed you are correct!
