Halloween is always a special night of the year but this year a little more so for us as we would actually go out Trick or Treating for the first time in way over 30 years with our grandson Jacob.
Laurie got the house into the
proper spirit as usual
Clark Kent, aka, Superman
was in the house!

the evil Lex Luthor

This was a memorable night

I just wish that we could have been in North Las Vegas to Trick or Treat with Kevin as well.
SIMI VALLEY PIONEERS
5-3 overall, 1-2 Marmonte League East
at
NEWBURY PARK PANTHERS
4-3-1 overall, 1-2 Marmonte League East
Friday afternoon we played our final Marmonte League East game of the season as well as our last home game.
We were playing Simi Valley with the winner claiming third place in the East and the opportunity to play the third place team from the Marmonte League West our season's tenth and final game.
Kicking Off Another Game
We got off to a good start and led 7-0 after one quarter of play.
QB Erich Wuesthoff to . . .
. . . WR and twin brother Luke Wuesthoff
This was about a 30 yard hookup on a key third down to keep a scoring drive alive.
Broken Up Pass
Jack Jensen is the Main Culprit
Nice hit Jack!
No penalty but in the NFL this good play would cost Jack about $50,000.
TD Shane Sipes!

Liam Metcalf
GANG TACKLING!!!
WEDGE FOR SIX!!!
MAKE IT SEVEN!
At the half, we were cruising with a solid 23-0 lead.
Half Time Antics
When in doubt . . .
. . . Give the rock to Jonas Mello
A good Fall feeling as the Sun set
Stalk Blocking
We lost a bit of our focus in the third quarter as the Pioneers scored and cut our lead to 23-7 as we entered the final period.

QB SACK!
All . . . The . . . WAY!!!
This 40 yard TD run by Jonas Mello followed by a 75 yard Pick-Six by CB Luke Wuesthoff capped off a rather hectic fourth quarter.
Luke Wuesthoff's Pick-Six Interception
I don't think that the Simi Valley coaches are enjoying the moment.
Dan Milman is in the game!
It felt good to clear the bench at the end of the game.
Jacob was deeply involved
in the game

CJ Stanziano was awarded
the coveted Game Hammer
FINAL SCORE
Newbury Park (5-3-1, 2-2 ML East) 37
Simi Valley (5-4, 1-3 ML East) 15
With the victory, Newbury Park finished in sole possession of third place in the Marmonte League East.
Up next for the Panthers is a rematch next Thursday at 7:00 p.m. at Agoura H.S. against a Chargers JV squad that finished in third place in the Marmonte League West. The Chargers are 3-6 overall and 2-2 in ML West play.
When our two teams met at Agoura back on September 12, the Panthers took home a hard fought 22-13 victory. Beating a team twice in one season is not easy to do!
Nevertheless . . .
BEAT THE CHARGERS!!!
