Wrapping up a few loose ends from a long weekend . . .
The French Lieutenant
In Friday's post, I mentioned that our Most Senior of the Senior team players, Fred "Papi" Bastiand, had served in the French Army's Calvary. Here is the proof.
Papi was happy to report to me that one of the Servals last night was actually older than him. It seems that the player in question had actually served in Napoleon's Army.
I am going to have to insist that Papi wears his Calvary sword in pregame warm ups next Sunday!
At Saturday's "B" game two of the Falcons legendary players and current Falcons team dignitaries suited up one more time for the love of the game.
#56 Olivier Caldes
Falcons Junior Team Head Coach
#60 Christophe Thuau
Falcons Team President

Olivier just looks like a tough LB

Olivier played some QB too
Old #56 in action again
"He looks, he throws . . ."
Merci as always to the one and only Nath Caldes for taking all of these great photos at the "B" game yesterday.
How could we lose when we were so sincere?
Reading Is FUNdamental
This was a very funny read about life in the ever so romantic French capital written by the same author of a book that I had read previously titled A Year in the Merde.
Paris Revealed is a must read if you are coming to Paris anytime soon.
Parc de la Tête d'Or
Sunday turned out to be a beautiful, sunny day so I opted for a stroll in the magnificent Parc de la Tête d'Or to enjoy Lyon's urban nature spot.
