It's now official, when I get home Laurie and I will be bowling with family and friends.
Not once mind you, but twice!
GO HUSKIES!!!
First up is the Las Vegas Bowl on December 22nd with the 10-2 Boise State Broncos taking on our beloved and befuddling 7-5 Washington Huskies.
This will be our 15th Bowl game with the Huskies since our first one, the epic 27-20 victory over Michigan in the 1978 Rose Bowl.
This will be our first trip to the Las Vegas Bowl with the Dawgs. Our previous 14 Husky bowl games have produced a record of 8-6.
Here's the list of our UW bowl game experiences with the winning games in purple:
Pasadena, California's Rose Bowl seven times (1978, 1981, 1982, 1991, 1992, 1993 and 2001)
Anaheim, California's Freedom Bowl twice (1985 and 1989)
San Diego, California's Holiday Bowl four times (1996, 1999, 2001 and 2010)
San Antonio, Texas' Alamo Bowl offensive explosion last December (2011) when RG3 led Baylor to a 67-56 victory over the UW.
"The Grand Daddy of Them All"
On New Years Day, we will be in the venerated and remodeled Rose Bowl to watch the PAC-12 Champion Stanford Cardinal (11-2) do battle with the Big Ten Champion Wisconsin Badgers (8-5).
