A Trip to Malpensa Airport, Goodbye to Our Swedish Friends and a Quiet Day in the Villa Skorpion

Monday, 11 June, 2018

After an action packed few days we were in need of a quiet day at home to recharge our batteries and catch up on the blog among other things.

Before we could do that we did have one, somewhat sad, chore on the agenda . . .

. . . saying Ciao to Aiki and Janne
who were flying home to Sweden today

We had an absolute BLAST hosting these two wonderful and fun loving friends from our days coaching just outside of Stockholm with the Wäsby Warriors in May-June of 2016 and again in 2017.

We've met the nicest people in our ten coaching stops in EuroBall since 2008!

Their trip could only have been better if their sidekick Lotta Douhan had joined us.

Maybe next year . . .

Aiki's heartfelt hug goodbye when I dropped them off at Milano's Malpensa Airport was a great one.

Traveling and making friends in other parts of the world while crossing potential language and cultural barriers is wonderful no matter what Trump supporters believe.

When I grow up, I want to be me!
