As It Turns Out, I Like Working With Motivated Students

Wednesday, 5 February, 2020

Once again I was out the door early this morning to take the bus/train trip to . . .

. . . yes, I was meeting Dario D'Adelfio
for another three class meetings at
the Arts School to introduce American
football to three new groups of students

We continue to have clear, bright blue skies in the general Varese area with temperatures in the low fifties. It has been quite nice considering that it is the middle of Winter and that we back up against the Alps.

Today, that level of comfort changed drastically because . . .

. . . as you can see by this I
Italian flag, the wind chill factor
was seriously in effect

The wind was whipping through Lombardia from the majestic, snow capped Alps that separate Italy from Switzerland just a few kilometers away.

Brrrrrr . . .

Fortunately, all three of today's one hour sessions were again being held in the school's warm, cozy palestra, aka, gym.

The 10:00 a.m. class was fun

Surrounding the ball in
a passing line drill

Returning the toss
to other classmates

The panache shown by this
young lady's throwing motion
could mean but one thing . . .

She MUST be a life-long
New York Football Giants fan!

The 11:00 a.m. class did
not disappoint in the least

The final class of the day started
at Noon and might have been
our best class of the week

A daffy, half crazed Californian
leading the warm up exercises
during the last class of the day

Three more classes at the Art School tomorrow followed by Skorpion practices in the evening, life is good in Italy!
