After the long weekend in Bilbao, Monday was mostly a recharge the batteries day at La Hacienda.
Cobras Super Bowl Party
I just got word of the big shindig today. The game kicks off live at 12:30 a.m on Monday, February 2nd, Murcia time.
Hey, that's Groundhog Day, the best day of the year!
Looks like next Monday will be a slow day too after the game is over.
Casta in his new practice jersey
The first of three boxes of donated practice jerseys and practice pants that Laurie sent me from schools in California and Washington arrived last Friday night hours before we boarded the bus to Santurtzi.
At tonight's practice we started to distribute them to the players. The Juniors and Seniors all seemed genuinely excited to get quality gear even if it was used.
After the game on Sunday and the long bus ride home, our workout tonight was a shorter, lighter one with minimal conditioning and contact. We wanted to loosen out the kinks and have more of a mental practice.
As always those who came gave their all but we only had about 16 Senior players in attendance.
Frustrating.
Tuesday, 27 January, 2015:
Another stay at home day as I had been informed by the Post Office that they would be delivering the last two boxes of donated gear some time today. The boxes are heavy and if I missed the mailman I would have to go to the Post Office to pick them up myself as this would be the second attempt to deliver them to La Hacienda. They had tried to deliver them last night at 8:50 p.m. while I was at practice.
Two mores boxes arrived at 11:30 a.m.

"Used Jersey Central"
The rest of the day was spent looking at game film of Sunday's contest.
Upon further review, we still lost 14-7 but we did many good things that we can definitely build on in the near future.
