Friday, 23 January, 2015:
Lots of little details today before the 11:30 p.m. start of the 1,000 mile round-trip bus ride tonight to Santurtzi for our season opening game at 11:00 a.m. on Sunday against the 0-1 Coyotes.
To review, we will attempt to sleep on the bus tonight and then check into our hotel in Santurtzi near mid-day on Saturday. After a walk-through practice/meeting we will have the rest of the day off to rest and/or sightsee in nearby Bilbao.
After the game on Sunday we will re-board our recliner bus for the long trip home to Murcia with an arrival sometime around mid-night I would suspect.
One last check of the Coyotes game film from their season opener last Sunday made it clear, we have our hands full against a good team this Sunday!
Los Chinos
The Chinese community in Murcia is just like their similar communities in the USA, i.e., industrious and hard working.
Here they set up small Mom & Pop type mini-markets that are open late at night long after the supermarkets have called it a day.
They also have some great mini-department stores that offer great prices.
That being said, I found a cord that hooked up my computer and my new printer, YAHOO!!!
Big Smokestack
It is near La Hacienda and serves no purpose today. It is a remnant of a long ago factory of some sort where now there are lots of apartments.
DING-DONG!
"Hola, I'm your mailman and I have a large package here for you. Mind if I wheel it up to you in your palatial third story Hacienda?"
"Nope."
What could it be?
Why it's donated practice jerseys
and practice pants for the Cobras!
Distribution will start next Wednesday night at practice.
GO COBRAS!
BEAT THE COYOTES!!!
