Career's Downhill Slide Begins

On Sunday night, July 5, 2009, at about 10:00 p.m. my career as a photographer officially began to deteriorate. We were in our room on the 6th story of Madrid's Hotel Reyes Catolicos when Laurie begged me to grab my camera and rush to the window to take a look at the big church across the street.

It was the tail end of the "Magic Hour" and when I saw what got Laurie so fired up I gasped, raised my trusty Sony Cyberr-shot, 7.2 MegaPixels camera, focused and pressed the button.

This is what came out, completely unedited in any way, shape or form. I don't think I can ever get a better shot than this one. Amazingly it did not have food as a subject.

What do you think?

Absolutely fantastic picture!! Should be on a postcard. Now, go back to shooting pictures of food.

Although the picture is outstanding I agree with Bellman, more food pictures!

Wow.

You're right, though, it's all downhill from here, unless the fields around Rio Mesa have hitherto undiscovered photogenic properties.

I think that Brian has met his match. I hope that after you took this picture you said "That was a good one!" You just might have to get an 8x10 of this one. Good job George.

CONGRATS, GEORGE.

You have now graduated from "LEVEL 1." Upon returning home, please place Senor Seven Pixel on the mantle.

I will be there shortly thereafter to begin shopping for your DSLR... I'm thinking the Nikon D-90.

Great pic!!!
