More School Work and an INTENSE Heat Wave

Tuesday-Sunday, September 1-6, 2020

This, overall, was a good pandemic week for us.

Jacob had a good week of
Third Grade working in
our home

I actually did some much
needed walking this week

I saw no such birds
on my walk

What the heck are these crazy
looking things at the
Camarillo Public Library?

After class on Friday, Jacob took
a trip to North Africa to recreate
one of his battlefield panoramas

Casualties everywhere!

I provided battlefield sound effects courtesy of YouTube and my iPhone.

Jacob LOVES reading about the
history of the American Civil War,
WWI and WWII

Colors of Camarillo seen on
my walk later in the week

Our local high school announced
its revised American football schedule
for this school year

On Sunday, the North African
desert was flooded in a freak
weather phenomena

Speaking of freak weather phenomena . . .

It was SCORCHING on Sunday!

Our 96 year old Mother lives in San Marino next to Pasadena which had the same temperature as our son Andrew did in his LasVegas home.

Global warming is a HOAX!

Is it possible that President Trump is wrong yet again?

Same Sunday temperatures
in Centigrade for our many
friends abroad

HOLY MOTHER OF GOD!

Woodland Hills is just 25 miles/40 km east of Camarillo.

Again, for our EuroBall friends, 121°F equals an astounding 49.4°C!

Mary decided that the best way to
beat the heat on Sunday was to go
fishing and then make fish soup

Her recipe for fish soup included several exotic ingredients that I am honor bound to keep secret.

News from the proposed
Contreras Bowl in Barcelona
this coming November

QB Jason Johnson and WR Matt Epperson were recently seen training HARD in preparation for the big game.

Given the current Covid-19 inspired travel ban on Americans entering the European Union countries.  I don't know if we'll ever be able to play this game.

A decision will be made in mid-October based on the status of the out of control U.S. Coronavirus outbreak at that time.

Of course, the same issue stands in the way of my being able to coach in any of the three scheduled Europe Warriors all-star games set to be played in November and December. This slate of games includes a U-19 game in Poland, a Women's game in Barcelona and a Men's game in Mexico.

Only time, which is running out quickly, will tell.
