A long day spent mostly transporting incoming players arriving from ten different European countries via Vienna's airport and main train station to the team hotel.
Bart and I were assigned to the
airport for most of the morning
Thanks to the internet, we were able
to tell the athletes to come to this
spot after collecting their equipment
Our first group of the morning
arrived from Spain
Coach Bart Iaccarino
working hard as always
He had organized every player's arrival times at every possible venue including which coaches to be at these various sites to greet the players.
Believe me, it was no easy task for Bart.
Part of a group of 30 hungry
Warriors in search of lunch
Several players were not scheduled to arrive until later in the afternoon and the three team meals per day provided by the hotel did start until dinner tonight.
Typical Viennese Winter street fare
Schnitzel at the Stern restaurant
This was the restaurant that was highly recommended by the hotel staff yesterday. If you recall, the Stern's kitchen was closed when we went there late Tuesday night.
The schnitzel today was AWESOME!
But definitely not cheap.
A HUGE dessert that we shared
This treat was priced quite reasonably.
When we got back to the hotel we found . . .
. . . that many of our Polish players
had arrived by via the
Wroclaw Panthers team van
Classy vehicle if you ask me.
The next order of business for the coaches was organizing the player's Europe Warrior gear to handout later this evening.
The players each received a game jersey, game pants, a collared shirt, a sweat shirt and sweat pants.
NICE SWAG!

new swag at our first team dinner
We held a general organizational meeting before this dinner.
After dinner, we had a Special Team meeting followed by Defense and Offense meetings.
The squad was well behaved and played great attention, a good sign indeed.
Thursday is going to be INTENSE!
Not listed is our 06:30 Coaching Staff Meeting.
Like I said, INTENSE!
Stay tuned . . .
