Back in the saddle on Saturday morning as I joined Tigers U-19 Head Coach/Senior Team Center Stephan Pulver and two of our U-19 players for the 40 minute drive to Fribourg to scout the Cardinals in their game against our next opponent, the Luzern Lions.
U-19 game at 11:00 a.m.
Fribourg, in the blue jerseys, took control early in the game with a potent running attack.
The Cardinal U-19s would be too much for the Lions on this wet morning.
The final score was Fribourg 26 - Luzern 0.
Belly up to the bar
Lion Cheerleaders pondering what to do in order to come up with a better effort in the 2:00 p.m. Senior game.
The sports complex had this nice restaurant/bar attached to it that we all used for shelter and sustenance at the halves and between games.

The Cardinals have to make ends meet just like the rest of us.
In a wild first quarter, Fribourg took the opening kickoff and drove down the field finding paydirt for the first time this season. They missed the PAT but still led 6-0.
Luzern took the ensuing kickoff to the house, it was now Lions in the lead 7-6.
Fribourg took the ensuing kickoff to the house as well, regaining the lead after a successful 2 point PAT attempt, 14-7.
In the long run, the Lions were just too physical for the Cardinals, wearing them out and taking home a 39-14 victory to Luzern.
