Happy, happy, joy, joy!
Andrew, Jill, Emma, Max, Kevin and Savannah were coming to Camarillo to visit us for a few days, we were excited to see them to say the least.
After their long cross Mojave Desert
drive, we took time to sit for a bit
in the back yard to decompress
Since we were sitting near the exact scene of the crime, Kevin asked Andrew, once again, about the time that we were playing a form of baseball in our back yard.
I was trying to apply the tag on my patented pick-off move to first base where Andrew was the runner. Inadvertently, the tag was high to his face and I had knocked out one of his baby teeth.
Of such things family folklore is created.

At about 6:00 p.m., he headed out to dinner where Michael, Vanessa, Jacob and Mary would join us at Camarillo's ever iconic Mexican cantina, El Tecolote.
We had to wait on a busy Sunday night for a table for 12 people, a perfect dodge for a family photo shoot!

Speaking of Mr. Mouse, the Las Vegas crowd will be heading to Anaheim's Disneyland tomorrow for a day of family fun and frivolity.

Modern teenage communication techniques in the 2020s never ceases to amaze me.
While we were enjoying ourselves, photos from Maui were pouring in on Facebook.
The beautiful Hawaiian island of Maui where we just enjoyed a marvelous nine day vacation had a Kona Storm system coming in last Wednesday, the day after we left to come home to Camarillo.
The result was lots of property damage due to the intense rains that the Kona Storm dumped on Maui.
Kihei, the town where Mark and Susie Johnson have their condo that we shared with them, was particularly hard hit by the forces of nature.

This is going to wreak havoc for months
Though no where near the devastation or death that the Lahaina Fire had a few years ago, but this storm's results will definitely make life in Paradise a bit more difficult.
We've been led to believe by meteorologists that this Kona Storm will finally dissipate late this evening.
Time to get the road construction crews busy.

One more regular season game for the Falcons who we were fortunate to coach to a French DIII National Championship back in 2013 during a 12-0 campaign.
In those days, French DIII was playing 11-man football and we were allowed two import players. Today, DIII is a nine-man game and I don't believe that imports are allowed.
LATE NEWS FLASH!
Mendoza, Argentina will be hosting a second South American Bowl American Football Tournament at a still unspecified date later this year.
Along with Brian and Koreen FitzGerald we attended the first one two years ago and had great fun in the city known, deservedly so, as the Wine Capital of Argentina.
