The day promised to be sunny and warm, perfect for a day at Camarillo H.S. for a youth track meet, a three way meet at that!

The Blazers are formed by uniting athletes from the usually
rival communities of Fillmore and Santa Paula.

The meet started at 8:30 a.m. but we were there at 8:00 a.m.

He came in second but his time (52.73) qualified him for the Ventura County Finals Meet at the end of the season.
His leg had been bothering him all week, so Jacob decided to skip the Long Jump and 800 Meters Run to concentrate on his favorite event, the 4 x 400 Meters Relay, the last race of every meet.

Mary took third in her heat with an all-time Personal Record of 17.69. That shaved 1.20 seconds off of her previous PR.

So few athletes want to run in this race that it was decided to combine all the teams, regardless of sex or age, into just one madcap race.

While we were having all of this fun, Spain and Italy were both in full EuroBall mode.

I opted to stop eating the tacos
Life can be difficult that way but, since January 15th, I have lost a total of 21.4 lbs. = 9.7 kilos with my new and much healthier ways that includes gorging at In-n-Out occasionally on Protien Style Double-Doubles and Flying Dutchmen.
Yes, I do actually feel much better.
