We found the perfect way to end a warm day in Camarillo.

Of course, such a titanic contest required a proper pre-game meal.

In-n-Out got the call

My low-carb diet allowed me the luxury of not one but two of their Double-Doubles with Grilled Onions, Protein Style.

Protein Style means that instead of buns, the burgers are wrapped in lettuce. EXCELLENT!

Keeping in the low-carb mode, I followed these two beauties with an item from the In-n-Out's Secret Menu, a Flying Dutchman. This time, two slices of whole onions grilled in mustard were used as substitutes for those dangerous but delicious buns.

Laurie opted for a simple cheeseburger, Animal Style.

No French Fries, thank you.

Both of us were now happy, sated and ready for the game.

Double Elimination Tournament

The formula tonight was a simple one, both the Bulls and the Suns had already suffered a playoff loss.

The loser of tonight's game would see their season end.

The winner would move on to play the undefeated Lakers at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. If the Lakers won that game, they would be the CYBA Champions. If the Lakers were to lose that game then another game at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday would be necessary to determine a Champion.

Things heated up in the Second Quarter for both teams, we had a good playoff game on our hands.

The Bulls finished the season with a modest 5-5 record. That is modest unless you saw the team's first two practices of the season when it looked to me as if winning any games would be a long shot.

The Bulls coaches did a great job this season helping each individual player improve and getting these seven young Bulls to play together as a cohesive unit.

The kids seemed to have a lot of fun this season and we enjoyed watching them play all year.
