We started a GLORIOUS Wednesday with Happy Birthday wishes.
Grandson Jacob turned 14 today!
With school today and track practice tonight, we did not have much time to celebrate today. Thus, we will reassemble on Friday afternoon to properly celebrate another wondrous trip around the Sun.

As a mini-gift for the occasion, we stopped at one of Camarillo's top rated dining emporiums, Rolling Pin Donuts that are secretly bankrolled by the Sabolić Family Trust, to bring Jacob his favorite donut, the Homer Simpson.
DONUTS!
The only proviso was that he must finish his usual, healthy, nutritious breakfast first. He moved at lightning speed so as to get to that Homer Simpson breakfast dessert.
It disappeared quickly as well.

Same rules, breakfast first, then her chocolate glazed donut adorned with sprinkles.
There is nothing quite like two sugared up kids on their way to school.
After dropping the two grandkids off at their respective schools, I drove a soon loopy Laurie up to Thousand Oaks for two hours of oral surgery. As we left the grandkids home, she had taken a sedative pill that our dentist had prescribed to prepare her for the upcoming ordeal.
The surgery started at 9:00 a.m. and ended a bit early at 10:45 a.m. When a still somewhat groggy Laurie was led back to the dentist office, I was informed that she would need to return at 3:30 p.m. as another 45 minutes would be required to finish the job.
It gave us a nice window to return home and be able to bid farewell to our Las Vegas clan who needed to return to the cooler weather in Nevada.
That is hard to believe but it was true today as Camarillo's high was a scorching 97°F/36.1°C while Las Vegas peaked on Wednesday at a mild 94°F/34.4°C.

After a cursory look, although all are worthy, I'd still swap out Mike Schmidt, Alex Rodriguez, Barry Bonds, Aaron Judge and Billy Wagner for Brooks Robinson, Cal Ripken Jr., Ty Cobb, Babe Ruth and Mariano Rivera.
