We were back on track quickly today having to be at the grandkids' house at 7:00 a.m. to take them to their respective schools.
A real shocker was noting the high price of gas today. The day before we left for Maui, I filled up my car for $3.95 a gallon, today when I drove past the same gas station it was up to $4.99 a gallon.
Are we "Winning" yet America?
In an effort to save some serious coin, and armed with our new Executive Club card that we procured in Kahului on our vacation, we did some much needed shopping this morning.
We headed to Costco's Oxnard location

We still found plenty of bargains
to bring home
The Las Vegas branch of the family will be arriving for a three day stay on Sunday, so we needed to prepare.
It will be so great to see Andrew, Jill, Emma, Max, Kevin and Savannah.
That should get us past the first day
I am happy to report that after a routine visit to my optometrist's office my eyesight, though not great, continues to be stable.
That's a HUGE victory at age 78.
