Prep Day for a Spanish Thanksgiving

Wednesday, 23 November, 2016:

Laurie, Bere and Jesús were intent on our little family celebrating a real American style Thanksgiving in Arganda del Rey's La Casa Grande, so who was I to argue a big meal at home.

Thus Laurie and I were off to our nearby Carrefour mega-supermarket in Rivas to do some serious grocery shopping.

These decorations looked like

Time to hit the aisles in search of all the Turkey Day trimmings.

Jap Kitos?

Definitely not P.C. and not on our shopping list.

 Goodness, do I
LOVE Spanish hams

We found most of our needs,
so the Feast is ON!

In the evening, we met for another three hours for practices with our Osos Junior and Senior teams.

I like #77's body position, the rest are still too high for my taste.

Although we had a disappointing turnout for our Senior practice but we had a great night with our offensive linemen pass blocking against a ton of different blitzes by our defensive linemen and linebackers.

Another one of our team photographers posted more photos from last Saturday's Osos-Camioneros game. I especially liked the following shots.

Osos Head Coach
Jesús Sánchez

Working with Jesús has really been fun. He is detailed, hard working and has a great vision for the future of our club.

I'm excited for a real American Thanksgiving dinner with good friends tomorrow!
